ABOUT ME

My name is Kellen, and I am a communications and creative professional. I possess writing, public speaking, graphics, video, and website design skills. With a passion for conveying information and a keen eye for detail, I am dedicated to bringing ideas to life and making them stand out in the best possible way.

I grew up with a mom who was an excellent communicator, instantly connecting and conveying with anybody from anywhere. On the other hand, my dad was a creative force, throwing himself into various projects, from painting to modeling to graphic design to video editing. These two influences made me who I am today: an excellent communicator and creative professional.

As a burgeoning creative, I grew up emulating Steven Spielberg, making films (featuring live-action and stop-motion characters) for fun and school projects. After my family got a home computer and the Internet burst onto the scene, I ventured into creating digital artwork and websites. By discovering and honing in on these passions (with the help of many mentors and my B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota), I launched into a career in communications and creativity.

Outside of my professional life, I've been married to my incredible wife since 2010 and am a father to three energetic, intelligent, and kind children. I often work on DIY projects around the house, from renovating bathrooms to setting up my IoT ecosystem, learning new skills and techniques along the way. I am also a cinephile and audiophile, delighting in the thrill and power of cinema and the excitement of discovering new music, from Americana to Hip Hop to film scores.
